[Komidol] Ore no Imouto 01 [Orange Farm Archive]

How many years…? How many years have I been saying this?

To me Ore no Imouto is a perfect example of a 2010 anime.  What do I mean by that?  I mean people who have been watching anime the last 10 years finally have gotten a break into the making of the anime industry.    I followed the manga for a bit, and I’m pleasantly surprised about the transfer to animation.

Especially since this is an AIC anime.  Having completely ruined Strike Witches, and only making the first decent attempt at anime (I blacklisted them for a bit with Mayoi neko Overrun) since Tenchi Muyo in the 90s with Amagami SS I’d say that they’re starting to pick themselves up.  AIC Build seems to be a reorganization of their staff and it looks like it’s working out for them.  Of course, it’ll be a long way until they I even consider redemption for them but as long as they stick to the source Oreimo should be a thumbs up for them.

Nice boat.

I think the staff they hired had a lot to do with it.  Each scene played out pretty well, no doubt a function Hiroyuki Kanbe’s key animation-directing experience.  The voice actors, Yuuichi Nakamura – displaying the experience he gained from the role of Tomoya in Clannad, and Ayana Taketatsu having just finished her breakthrough in the industry as the voice of Azusa from K-ON! really seem to be working well together.  Something even scarier?  Ayana is only 4 days older than me with the same blood type.  I honestly felt all those lines come to life as someone from my generation, so I have no doubt she’ll fulfill Kirino’s role quite well.

Good move hiring all former KyoAni staff, AIC.  Good move.

Yes. Yes. Yes. Here, the dynamic is everything and it was working perfectly. I love otaku humor stuff (another reason why I’m chomping at the bit to see The World God Only Knows) and this show seems like it’s going to deliver that AND character interaction giggle in spades.

PA Works produced Angel Beats. I don’t know where you’re getting the idea that it was made by AIC.

Angel Beats looked promising at first, so i kept on watching expecting some great new development to come about, only to find the ending to be a sizzle and I’m being generous -_-.
    but this looks good :V
