K-ON! 6 [Orange Farm Archive]

Very Mio-centric episode.  When’s Yui’s voice coming back? ;_;

No you didn’t.

Mio was very lovely standing and singing.  Much more than she was in her outfit during the actual performance.  Not a fan of this weird fashion style going on in this anime between this episode and the ED.  Atleast Ritsu is normally wearing something simple.

Speaking of Ritsu…

Glad she got some screentime this episode.  Second to Mio-Fanboyism tier screentime of course, but I’m really missing Yui.  As I mentioned before, the chemistry of these characters is what makes the show the most entertaining.  The cast is pretty boring without Yui there, making it fun.  Ah well, a forehead is fine too.

This is Japan’s answer to Family Guy’s Stewie.

Didn’t mind the little exposition and development of the characters in this episode.  Unfortunately, since K-ON is only looking at a 13 episode run schedule, I could of gone with something faster.  I’ll definitely be reading the four-panel comics when the series is done though.

This is our show so you should just let me lead the band and not pay attention like every other anime club advisor…

Love Ritsu and Sawa-sensei’s back and forths.  It’s the only thing that establishes Ritsu as the band leader.  She’s really outgoing and tries to motivate the group with anything but actual work, which is a great leader in my opinion.  Definitely will keep people around with that mentality.  Though seriously, when push comes to shove she’s proven she can be reliable and makes sure things get done.  Her procrastination and laid back attitude usually make get things done in a difficult or brash way at times, but that’s what I like about her.  Where’s all the Ritsu love been, exactly?

Seems like everything has been centered around Mio lately.  KyoAni seems to be capitalizing on this, as always – giving the people what they want; can’t blame them for that.  But stripes, eh? Usually more shy girls don’t have designs on their panties.  Mio is really looking to get laid.  Discuss.  Loved the little snapshot going off in the crowd.

Still watching primarily for these two though…who wouldn’t?

I want to be a highschool girl ;_; Looks like so much fun.

Didn’t understand this whole sequence?  Live stage performance with some driving in the end?  Maybe some sort of symbol that they’re starting their band’s tour?  Anyway, I hope they don’t do this for every performance.  Calling you out on this one, KyoAni – seems like a copout because they knew they couldn’t do amazing Haruhi-class performance representation.  Anyway, they’ll probably have their final performance be not some fantasy montage and the real thing.  I’ll look forward to that.  Thouh, Yui’s messed up voice backup vocals made this scene nothing but laughs, so I enjoyed it.

Weight training much?  Can’t wait to see the effect this has on memes and fanart…makes you wonder what they’re going to make Mugi impossibly lift…

    Scratchy-voice moe, ftw!!!!!!!

You left out the sumo-scene, which might have been my favorite in the entire episode.

    1. Mugi continues to be awesome. She is tied with Yui for MY favorite.
    2. Cop out is right! Where’s the real performance? I wanna see Yui shred some.
    3. This show just gets better and better. I can’t imagine why anyone would hate on it. It’s fun in a can.
    4. 13 Episodes?!? I saw it coming (I think this is a artist/seiyuu warm up for something major), but I could watch 26 episodes of this easily.

Oh! Did you take time to watch the Spice and Wolf video I linked to in one of the comments? Watch that space for a coming K-ON! AMV (Preview within the next few days).

I did not leave that scene out. Check the link for “chemistry”. That was a great scene.

And you should take Mugi as your favorite, because Yui is mine. Though Ritsu is super close second.

And yeah, I watched it. It was okay, but I don’t like AMV’s with English lyrics, usually. It was edited decently.

Also, Astro, looked at your blog. http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm6853499 Mio fanboys :\
