Goku Sayonara, Zetsubou Sensei Episode 3 FINAL [Orange Farm Archive]

I hope it’s not over ;_;

szs-g03-01What came…?

So, the final Goku Sayonara, Zetsubou Sensei episode is out. What does this one have in store for us loyal fans of the series?

szs-g03-02

The first part involves everyone attempting to come up with a basis for the next chapter of the series. But everything everyone suggests has already been done before. You probably won’t recognize them, because most were only done in the manga(the “test of guts” one I’ve read in particular).

szs-g03-03

Though, I don’t remember this ever happening… 8D Anyway, it’s a fairly amusing episode. I’m not sure what the hundred-candles thing is based on, but the 100th suggestion is given by Kafuka – to come up with 100 suggestions for what to use for the next chapter, and they go full circle.

The second part was much funnier in my opinion. White Day has just arrived. For those of you unfamiliar with love-holidays in Japan, normally the girls give guys stuff on Valentine’s Day, and the guys return the favor on White Day two weeks later. Two otakus have received a small gift from a maid working in a maid cafe, and go to give her a gift that day…

szs-g03-04

…and end up arguing with each other over whose gift was better. Of course, the maid does her job and acts pretty emotionless and impartial.

szs-g03-05

So, they’re both losers! No, seriously. The theme of the episode is that there are many battles where there is no winner involved. Take the following instance, for example.

szs-g03-06

Battles between who is better at 18+ games? Hahaha, they’re both losers.

szs-g03-07

Negative campaigns? The one being attacked loses, but…

szs-g03-08

And apparently that camera-shy girl is also an anime/doujin fan.

szs-g03-09

Battles over which coupling is better? (By the way, the only difference in those two comics is which guy is on top)

szs-g03-10

Indeed.

szs-g03-11

No winners in the battle between 7th-gen game console graphics abilities, either >o<

And then it’s time for Kafuka to come in. There are battles that no one loses, too! For example, when two actresses argue on-stage, they both benefit from the battle.

szs-g03-12

HAHAHAHAHAHAHHA

One of my favorite episodes ever.

I think the third part is an anime original, but I could be wrong. It shows what happened to Itoshiki in high school.

szs-g03-13

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

szs-g03-14

It’s like a remake of the first episode, lol. Itoshiki is beginning his “rosy high-school life” and expects many good things to happen in his future. Join a few clubs, and maybe fall in love or something.

Of course, the latter doesn’t work out. All the girls that approach him want to give love letters to his three brothers, not him. One even gives one to his father XD

szs-g03-15

This is what everyone else is asking, too. Itoshiki eventually comes to the conclusion that his glasses are to blame, and ends up at the group suicide people’s club, the “negati-bu”. After some misunderstandings about the name – “bu” is on the end of club or sports club names – they try to explain.

szs-g03-16And this is our rulebook.

WTF… “Meine Kampfzeit”?

Anyway, the club gives him magic glasses that he can never take off. Even worse, whenever he thinks something positive, they squeeze his face!

He runs outside and bumps into a little girl. You guessed it, it’s Kafuka as an elementary-schooler, lost on a class field trip.

szs-g03-17

Of course, nothing ever goes quite as planned.

szs-g03-18

Some other guys happen to be there, too. So, Itoshiki has now been labeled as a child molester!

szs-g03-19Purge! Purge! Purge!

This was an amusing episode, all in all. But the last thing made me want to cry.

szs-g03-20

Is there hope for a season 3? Will we ever get to see Zetsubou Sensei animated again? ;___;

Sayonara, folks… It’s been an awesome run, in any case… SZS was easily one of my favorite animes ever. It’s like a slice-of-life series gone completely wrong. It’s creepy, gross, funny, and in a LOT of cases, completely true. While many of the chalkboard-style references went over my head – as I’m sure it did most people’s – the show still caused me to pause at certain points to read them and laugh anyway. Hurray for dark humor!
