Hmmmm. Where to start? I suck when writing about myself.

Well, I’m a huge mecha fan. Gundam, Gunbuster, Code Geass, old 70’s super robot shows, new super robot shows, anything goes, I love ‘em all. Don’t think I have no standards at all, though. While I love robots like Mazinger Z and Zambot 3 to death, I don’t really have any desire to watch the anime they come from – it’s mostly “monster of the week” stuff(and in Mazinger Z’s case, ninety-two episodes of that straight). They’re cool in Super Robot Wars and everything, but…

Beyond that, I am into other anime. I don’t tend to watch too much else, but a few of my favorites are Cowboy Bebop, Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, Spiral, and Gintama. I draw a lot, too, and my style tends to be influenced by anime and manga. ^^;

Switching gears, I’m a gamer through and through. Super Robot Wars is part of my life, and I really enjoy playing doujin games like Touhou, Fate/stay night, and Tsukihime, among others. The originality that the good games bring to the table is really refreshing when compared to stuff like Nintendo slapping the name Mario onto a game and having it sell like crazy. The doujin authors/programmers aren’t really doing this for money, which makes it all the more appealing.

Another reason I really like them is because I’m a computer science major, and love programming games. ZUN, the author of Touhou, is practically one of my idols now, because he holds down a steady job, and writes his game single-handedly – that’s right, all the artwork, programming, and even the amazing soundtrack are all done by him and him alone. It’s given me some inspiration lately.

I am a sophomore at college, and living away from home has been a lot of fun. I wasn’t sure if I’d like it much at first, since I was pretty sheltered during high school(actually, I still am now, to a certain extent). But after the first two weeks, I was loving the independence, which surprised me a lot. I guess college, for me, has really been a journey to find myself, and discover my own interests, talents, and develop beliefs and stuff like that.

Anyway, I’m a friend of Komidol’s from when he lived in my town, but we still talk  a lot. (Of course, that’s how this whole business got started…)
